When I began the following poem, I had yet to hear about Corey Haim's death. Once I read the news, the poem moved around on its own and stuck with the final result. Even though the coming days may show that his death was something other than initial reports, I have decided to keep my poem as is. Even if it doesn't pertain to him to the last detail, the sentiment expressed likely mirrors other experiences out there.
