knowing forever won't wait
for me to decide
Yesterday in pictures.
First up, rugby! The All Blacks of New Zealand lost to the Springboks of South Africa. Makes me a little cranky when the All Blacks lose. Daniel Carter needs to come back!
during the Haka
This Haka was different. The words were different and the motions were different. I don't know if I've ever seen this one. Hmmm.
And then, baseball!
As mentioned before, we left the house early and arrived at the ball park more than TWO HOURS before first pitch. But did we get the giveaway? Nope. The lines going into the park were RIDIDCULOUS but it was still great that all those people came out. I'm going believe that all the folks came out for Rickey Henderson as opposed to being scavengers wanting a free jersey. LOL!
the crazy line snaked around and streamed out into the parking lot...
our view of the field
After we got to our seats and ate our food, we waited for the pre-game Rickey celebration. It was great! I got a little teary eyed. Awwww!
Ray Fosse was the master of ceremonies and different people spoke before Rickey took the mic. Dave Stewart was among the speakers.
Rickey's daughter's unveiled his number on the left field wall.
Rickey took the mic and made us laugh and cheer.
He thew out the first pitch to Jason Giambi. (I didn't even realize Giambi was suiting up.)
When it was time to leave the field, he went out in style. :)
The game started off well enough. By time we left (yes, we left before the end), the A's were trailing. Alas.
first pitch, 6:33pm (even though my camera says 6:31)
the A's would go on to score just one more in the bottom of the 9th
On our way out we picked up our hot dogs and a drink. :)
We got home in time to watch the end of the baseball game and they almost eeked out a win. Bah. Oh well.
Oh, in the mail I received my Google Voice business cards! They're cute. I like them better than my Google Profile cards. lol!
And that is all. :)
