I should be at Comic Con

Besides the obvious reasons (Watchmen, Dr. Horrible, etc), I wish I were at Comic Con! I could see Wil Wheaton again, watch all the different panels, mabye catch a glimps of JDM. Oh, and then there's this

I'm not exactly sure if it's coming out in the theatres, but we shall see! I visited the website and under events it says, "Check us out at Comic Con 2008."

Oh, I should talk about my Friday!

I couldn't get to sleep on Thursday night and then I remembered that I forgot to make a little flyer for work that said the office would be closed until 10:30am. OH NO! I stressed about that for awhile before letting it go and falling asleep. On Friday morning I make a quick flyer just in case no one else remembered and headed out early to tape the notice if necessary.

It wasn't necessary. Of course.

I headed out to the high school for Convocation. Sounds religious, doesn't it?
Middle English, from Middle French & Latin; Middle French, from Latin convocation-, convocatio, from convocare
14th century
1 a: an assembly of persons convoked b (1): an assembly of bishops and representative clergy of the Church of England (2): a consultative assembly of clergy and lay delegates from one part of an Episcopal diocese; also : a territorial division of an Episcopal diocese c: a ceremonial assembly of members of a college or university
2: the act or process of convoking

I think we're going for definition 1c. ;)

It's the one chance for the WHOLE district to get together, hear a few words from people, and eat breakfast!

maybe I should have had more fruit?

Afterwards, it was off to work. It was a nice break not having to talk to parents. Work didn't go as fast as I would have liked, but I was so glad when it was time to go home!

We visited Meggie!

Meggie outside

It was a short visit but it was great to see her. She's such a good girl!

And then we went to the movies!

I liked it!

The X-Files - I Want to Believe

The X-Files: I Want to Believe - I enjoyed it! It was great seeing Mulder and Scully again. And the plot was a great stand-alone type story. I thought it was very well done. Looked pretty cold though. All that snow!

I found it very interesting that our fellow moviegoers were adults. Yah! A few young adults and maybe one or two teenagers, most mostly folks our age. :D Or in other words, no dumbass frickfracks trying to spoil everyone else's movie experience. ;)
