I would not sign a prenuptial agreement. Perhaps I'm a little old fashioned, but I consider marriage one of those sacred institutions. If you have to sign a prenuptial agreement, then maybe you shouldn't get married at all. If you cannot trust yourself and your own judgement to make a life changing commitment, then don't get married.
Of course, if both parties agree with it, then why not? I just know that I would not do such a thing. If it's going to end, then I'll take my lumps and chalk it up to experience. But even if I got totally screwed in the end, I still would not go back and sign one. Would it make the end result any more painless? Probably not. In fact, the prenup thing probably plants a disturbing little seed of doubt. Is it love or just a pay day?
