Look, I'm all for artists' right, but...

First, my new camera rocks!!!

I bought Buddy Jewell's latest CD (love him!) and now I'm ready to fling the damn thing against the wall. I wanted to rip the CD to my Windows computer, but this crazy ass window popped up. Some kind of user agreement. If I disagree, the CD pops out. If I agree, the CD downloads some kind of proprietary program onto my computer (oh yes, like I need another stupid program on my barely hanging on computer). What the hell is this all about?!

The hubby ripped it fine onto his Mac. Freakin' crazy!

I know the stupid record labels are trying to protect their property, but they are pissing me off now. I BOUGHT the CD. I paid my money. Now it's mine. I should be able to rip it onto my computer in my usual fashion. If I want to use iTunes, I should be able to use it without a problem. I should not be subjected to a proprietary program that might just not work well with my computer. So SCREW THEM!

When I see that logo (copy control), I won't buy the CD. If I must, I'll just download it from other sources. I feel as though I am being punished for being a proper consumer.

So hey, F-CK 'EM.

Maybe it's just time to really switch to Mac.
