visiting the cemetery

My grandfather served in World War II. We visited him today. It's been awhile but there's something peaceful about the cemetery. Twas a lovely day-- cool and breezy with a bright sun. I am grateful for my grandfather bringing his family here after the war. If he hadn't, would I even be here? :)

Blues Brews BBQs at The Streets today. This mean music, beer, and bbq-- all good things! :)

There were also cars for us to view, some so pretty.

Twas warm, sunny and bright. Much better than last year's spring showers. ;) I think I got a fair amount of sun. :P

Spent the early afternoon with my cousins. They came out this way so that we could walk the farmers market and then lunch at Pho Vietnam. Good times!

We also strolled through the recently redone city park. So pretty!

I always have fun hanging out with my cousins. It's a good time to just be myself and talk too much and listen a lot. :)

Pinterest has got to be one of my new favorite internet things. If I see a pic online that I like, I "pin" to one of my boards. And I just realized I can embed to my blog. Very nice! What I like is that it correctly (so far) credits the pics and hopefully leads folks to the original source. :)

I had the weirdest dream before waking up. It freaked me out a little because it felt to real. Those kinds of dreams are the strangest.

My new clock/dock for my iPhone/iPod for charging/listening at work. Happened upon it during our wandering of Fry's yesterday. I needed a new dock that could charge my iPhone and so there it is. The neat thing about it is that the time syncs with my iPhone's time. :D

Even though I'm happy that my shows are ending, I felt a little sad last night after The Game of Thrones ended because I didn't have Once Upon a Time to watch next. Alas! But oh, GoT is getting so good! I must admit, I'm quite partial to Robb Stark, Jon Snow, and Jaime Lannister. Those fellas keep me glued when they're on screen.

I'm enjoying my iPhone 4S! Is it wrong to like my electronic gadgets so much? I went without a case today, which was a bit scary but I made it back home without a scratch. My new case had arrived in the mail today so now my phone is protected in its new chrome-looking (but plastic feeling) case. Nice!

Saturday was a lazy day. I got to chat with my OT! It was wonderful catching up and chatting about our lives and such. :) We must do that move often.

Today we went to the Big Wow! ComicFest in San Jose. It was in a nicer venue than the other times we've gone. Well done! :) I wore my Bazinga shirt! I wonder if anyone noticed.

We had lunch at the Blue Chip. Nice place! The philly cheesesteak was YUMMY! :)

TV STUFF...

So yes, I'm disappointed that the following shows have been cancelled: The Finder (which double sucks because of the way it ended!), Alcatraz (again, the way it ended just left us wanting MORE), GCB (mostly for the hubby), Awake (which I had intended on watching on one of the streaming services), Missing (which we didn't keep up on but again I intended on catching up later). I know there are more but those are the ones that are on my mind, especially The Finder. Alas!

I'm very glad that the following shows are staying for a sophomore season: Revenge (guilty pleasure, anyone?), New Girl (hilarious and the one thing that I can mention on Twitter to Dan Feuerriegel and get a response), Once Upon A Time (the perfect mesh of "reality" and fairy tale), Smash (though I need to catch up on more than a few episodes), Person of Interest (so behind!).

And old favorites that are returning next season: Fringe (because WOW, that season finale was crazy amazing!), Castle (finally, Castle and Beckett!!!), Hawaii Five-0 (I love seeing Hawaii and the action doesn't hurt either), The Big Bang Theory (addicted to this show!), Cougar Town (moving to TBS, good for them!), Body of Proof (which was a bit of surprise but hey, it ended in a cliffhanger they must resolve!).

Wow, we watch a lot of television! And that's only network tv. And I am very sure I've forgotten a show or two or three. LOL

We saw The Avengers! I do love it. I'd watch it again, I think, if movies weren't so expensive. LOL! Go see The Avengers. Chris Hemsworth rocks as Thor. Robert Downey Jr. is always a hoot as Tony Stark. And wow, Jeremy Renner. I'll just leave it at that. Oh, and Chris Evans' Captain America is cute.

I did like seeing the trailer for The Dark Knight Rises. I'm going to see that movie. And yes, I want to see that movie because of Tom Hardy. Sue me! ;)

I took Friday off from work and didn't really do much. It was heavenly. Saturday was a lazy day as well since the hubby was at work. I did watch some rugby. My Crusaders won! :)

And today we went to Livermore for the Livermore Wine Country Festival. It was fun!

I went for the reds in my tasting. They were all mostly good. ;) There were a lot of people there and the weather was perfect if you like it warm and breezy.

Oh, and THE HUNGER GAMES was quite well done. On its own it's fantastic but if compared to the book, it falters a bit. But movies have to tighten up the story and they did a decent job with this one...

I'm awake because I'm watching the Crusaders vs the Waratahs. Super Rugby. I am a Crusaders fan mostly because of Daniel Carter and Richie McCaw. It's a tight match so far.

It's almost over...
