So wow, New Kids on the Block. Just WOW.

I tell ya, I went into the day in a weird kind of daze, as if my excitement was pushed down for some reason. And then it all came out when the concert started. I took so much video it's not even funny! I mostly wanted to catch bits of all the songs and then maybe a whole song here and there. Well, I did more than that. Not sure what I'm going to do with all of it, but much of it will likely go on YouTube. lol!

The opening acts were pretty good... Jabbawockeez = neat-oh! It's kinda weird, the masks, but they were cool. Love the moves!... Jesse McCartney is one sassy boy! Loved him. I'm glad he did "Leavin'" and "How Do You Sleep." He's a talented young man and hopefully he keeps on plugging away. :)

But of course the most wonderful part of the night was New Kids on the Block. They were soooooo good! I cannot believe how much I still love them. Yes, LOVE THEM. Sure, some of it is residual feelings of youth, but most of it is just love for the group. I will always love them.

I'll probably write up the playlist later, but my favorite part of the concert was "Single." Why? Because Danny Wood was in our section!!! All the guys stood in different sections and we got Danny. HE WAS SO CLOSE!!! I just about freakin' DIED! HOLY CRAP! And suddenly I remembered that he was my favorite and now he is again because HE WAS IN OUR SECTION!!!

They sang most of my favorites and I was so stoked that I remembered most of the songs. I even remembered the words to some of the songs. It was so cool!

My dear cousin Christine took me (she and my sister bought the tickets as a bday gift to me) and we had such a great time! I'm glad we went together because we enjoyed it together.

I also found the twins! Just one section over. How cool is that?!

Our fellow concert goers were A TRIP! The gals next to me were cool but the ladies next to my cousin were extremely exhuberant. lol! Lots of women my age, then lots of young ladies in their twenties.

It probably wasn't a good idea to start my day with a strawberry margarita and corn dog, eh?

The Alameda County Fair is best attended during the day on a weekday. Twas perfect! Great weather, less crowds. I took lots of pictures. :)

We ended up leaving soon after that and heading out to Buffalo Wild Wings. Good wings!

The guys next to us tried the Blazing Challenge (or something like that). Utter fail! lol! Too bad. The hubby had one of their wings and was impressed that the dude even ate 4. Ye gods!

The bartender was cute. He shook my hand after he dropped off the bill. LOL! Thanks Alex!

Perhaps this post is mostly about my hair and food. We'll see...

After I made my hair appointment yesterday (had to use that $75 rewards certificate!), I searched online for a nice looking cut. The first picture I liked was this one:

I thought, hey, my hair could maybe do that. lol!

So, armed with that photo in my iPhone, we headed to Livermore this morning for my 12:15p appointment with Karen at Fusion3 SpaSalon. This was my first time at the Fusion3 and I was not disappointed!

Fusion3 is an Aveda concept salon, so all Aveda products. My services came with a head and neck massage as well as hand massage. It was relaxing and comfortable. My stylist, Karen, was AWESOME! She was friendly and easy to talk with and I just felt at ease with her. I love the cut! Of course, we'll see how I feel in a week and I'm fixing my own hair but at this very moment I just love it!

After my hair cut, I walked down First Street and joined the hubby at the First Street Alehouse. I had a drink and ate the rest of his fries.

After the Alehouse, we went over to the Carvery for lunch. Mmmm, Harry's!

And that was our time out in Livermore! All in all, a good day. ;)

Even though it's the other side of midnight, today is still yesterday for me. This means that today is actually tomorrow in my perspective. If any of that makes sense to you, kudos! I'm a bit sleepy, so as I re-read it, it doesn't make sense to me at all.

It's kinda nice to wake up when you're already supposed to be at work. lol! Ahhh, vacation time! I don't mind that it's lazy days for me this week. Tis rather wonderful. ;)

I hit my highest score so far in Bejeweled Blitz!!! I know, exciting, right? lol!

I changed the layout of my tumblr. I like it! Makes me think I should go ahead and use it more. I really just use it to post from my other online places. It's the central point of my stuff. Fun, eh?

I was super lazy today. Love it!

Why can't I ever just be content with the tech toys on hand instead of wanting something new every six months to a year later? Take now, for instance. I wouldn't mind a handheld camcorder alá a Flip thing. Or how about a new digicam that can do HD video? I also would not mind a cameraphone that does video and is compatible with Qik.

I wonder what day I'll clean the house.

My poor Saffy so needs a bath! Another chore I dread.

I should have worn my hair up yesterday. I look gross in my pictures. Bah!

If I wait long enough, I can post this tomorrow along with a poem. Nah!

We went over to my cousin's house and had dinner. Soon after sundown,we hiked up the hill behind their house and watched the fireworks from College Park High School and the country club. For some reason the fireworks at each place started at nearly the same time, so it was like watching a tennis match trying to keep attention on each burst in the sky. My video clips turned out much better than my photos.

The finale from the country club was quite grand compared to the finale at College Park. But they were both rather entertaining. And the view from the hill totally rocked!

I'm still up! I can see that my sleep patterns will be odd during my vacation. Oh well, it'll be fun! ;)

My first day of vacation was mostly lazy. Woke up a little early (before 10am) considering my bedtime (4am or thereabouts), but I ended up taking a nap during the day, so that was nice. We went out to get some stuff and then we were back home.

Omigosh, it's been HOT these past few days. If I'm to believe the forecast, it should be a bit cooler today except what's really the difference between 107 degrees and 99 degrees?

We watched Virtuality yesterday. Tis a shame that it's not going to be an actual tv show because I was really digging it. Stupid network bastards.

I've gone through my contact list in my Gmail account and I've cleaned it up. I now sync my Gmail contacts with my iPhone and works like a dream! Oh, and it's free, so definitely no complaints. Now the only reason to connect my iPhone to my computer is to update my playlists and apps. Nice! Don't you just love technology? ;)

Such a freakish kind of day. You know, the kind of day where you're relatively untouched and yet feel so numb inside.

Someone dies everyday but it just seems a little cruel to lose an icon like Farrah Fawcett this morning then music legend Michael Jackson this afternoon. One almost a relief as she was finally released from her suffering and the other a shock. And it's all just sad.

No weird dreams last night. Or maybe I just don't remember them. lol!

I'm writing story scenes between unnamed characters, which just seems so weird to me. Usually I think long and hard about the names I bestow upon my characters but right now I guess I just want to write the scenes. I don't even know how long the story is because I think I'm writing the end right now. lol! Maybe it's just a novella type story. I don't know. But it's a strange process for me at the moment. I usually write in a linear fashion.

weird dreams on a happy tuesday...

First off, I dreamt about Chris Conrad. This after watching Push last night (with Chris Evans) and learning something new about Chris Pine (he was in Bottle Shock, something I've actually watched). So why dream about Chris Conrad? Strange.

Second, I dreamt that I was back at SRJ sharing a desk with a former co-worker. I was still the dispos chick, which meant I worked a 1pm to 9:30pm shift but she was a day shifter.

Third, I was holding someone's baby in a mall while trying to keep an eye out on guys with guns tailing me. Or the baby's parent. I don't know.
